Christmas Shopping

December 2, 2013 by Richard Wright in Journal, Writing

Xmas ShoppingLook, there’s no subtle way to do this. It’s Christmas. You’re buying people stuff. Don’t buy that other thing you thought they’d like. Buy one of my books for them instead.

While you’re at it, why should they have all the fun? What’s so special about them, anyway? You know they’ve only gone and bought you socks again. Grab one of my books for yourself as well*. It will make you feel all special.

They’re ideal of Christmas too. Cuckoo is about a man who is trying to work out who he is, and goes on a transformative journey. When you think about it, that’s exactly like A Christmas Carol. Thy Fearful Symmetry has angels in it. Loads of them. What’s more Christmassy than angels? And Craven Place… um… is set in Wales. Where they also celebrate Christmas. So, you know… there’s that.

*In fact, all of these books are signed up to Amazon’s Matchbook thing. If you buy a paperback of one, you get the Kindle version for free if you want it.

Would you like us to purchase these books from Amazon? Only, I thought you got peanuts back or something. Literally.

Yes! Fill the sky with hunter-killer drones! Of festive goodness!

Not quite pennies, but not big bucks. That’s the way with any paperback I publish myself though (actually the same for publishers too – profit per actual copy sold is a tiny part of the cover price), regardless the seller. Amazon doesn’t rook me worse than anyone else 🙂 Thanks for checking though!
