Costa Writer

Yesterday was a very good day indeed, featuring wandering and writing, some of which occurred at the above Costa Coffee. Nice to get out and be meaningless. Meaningless is cosmically calming, but also impressively productive when conducted with the right level of distracted pondering. You’ll just have to trust me on this. The book on the table is chock full of Hiram Grange goodness, in fairly random order. He’s enjoying being handwritten, at least by this author.

Today, less splendid, particularly as my devilled Caesar salad dressing, lovingly prepared by my own dear fingers, erred rather too much on the side of devilment. Damn you, Gordon Ramsay, with your teasingly pleasant full page photographs, and your beguilingly simple instructions!

Alas, I’ve forgotten which book it was. Possibly the fast food one, or the healthy eating one, though I say that only because I can see them from where I sit.

I wouldn’t try the cookalong stuff – looks fun, but not sure when the person cooking gets time to eat anything while it’s still hot!

You are right, but if you pause the video, you can take a while between courses! You don;t have to do it live on youtube!
