The Eyes Have It

January 15, 2008 by Richard Wright in Journal, Life

Or rather, the eyes appear to have had it. Over the last few weeks I’ve been having to strain to make out the words on the screen and the page – not enough to bug me at first, but getting a little worse each day. Finally, after my recent celebration of creeping age, it’s time to bite the bullet and get an eye test. I’ve been expecting my eyes to start complaining for a few years now, especially given the amount of time that they’re staring at a screen, so it isn’t a surprise.

While I’m there, I might as well see if they’ll do me a two for one deal on glasses and a zimmer frame…
