author of strange, dark fictions

Hi folks – I’ve been away for the last few days or so, and will be for the next few too. Proper entry when I’m back.

In the meantime, find an evening to go and watch Hot Fuzz at your local cinema. It’s very funny indeed.

    Hi Richard –

Normally I would do this by e-mail, but either you’ve hidden your address very well or I’m just extremely unobservant tonight. In any case, just wanted to let you know I posted some short mini-reviews of The Flesh Remembers and Dark Terrains at my website (, and on Amazon, and on Lulu.

Also, I remember that at one point you were working on — and even posted a bit of — a sequel to The Flesh Remembers. Is that still in the works, or have you put it aside for the moment? In either event, I look forward to your next stories. And I have to say — to shift gears to Dark Terrains — you articulated my disgust about the absurd hysteria surrounding Princess Di’s death (or JFK Jr’s here in the US) perfectly in “The Jealous Dead;” I heartily recommend it to anyone reading this comment who hasn’t downloaded Dark Terrains yet.

Hi there Devon – thanks very much indeed for the reviews, and taking the time to try both books out. I’m glad you enjoyed them – I’ll drop you a line shortly about whether you’re happy for me to quote them on this site.

And as for the continuing adventures of Mr Lomax, you are not misremembering. I have high hopes that there will be some exciting news on that front before the year is out…
