Welcome:

Welcome to the site. I'm a scribbler of horror and other dark fictions, and my novels and stories have been published in the UK and the US for the last fifteen years. I currently live in India, having been in Scotland for over a decade. For most of that time I've been writing one thing or another. Hopefully some of it has entertained you, or soon will. Let me know.

Kudos:

"In a genre where some of the most respected voices can't seem to get past vampires and serial killers, Wright doles out startlingly original ideas like he's throwing stones. More importantly, he's knocking us upside the head with them and making us think in a very enjoyable way." - Louis Maistros, Chiaroscuro

Wibbly-Wobbly, Timey-Wimey

“Funny old business, time. It delights in frustrating your plans.” – 7th Doctor.

“They say that time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself.” – Andy Warhol.

“Time is an illusion. Lunchtime, doubly so.” – Douglas Adams.

Nearly 34… death closing in… must achieve more

Or something along those lines. Come midnight, I’ll have aged another year, which means plenty of self-examination (due to the closeness of the dates, I tend to leave my New Year self-scrutiny until now). As ever, it comes down to ‘must try harder’…

We’ll see what happens. If there’s one thing I should do this year, it’s be more pro-active. Simple to say, but ennui can be difficult to cast aside when it takes hold. See Andy Warhol, above, for the obvious solution – here’s hoping a January push in the areas I’d like to improve on can define the year. It’s been a promising fortnight, to be honest, so there’s hope yet.

But in the meantime, I’m getting ready to be whisked away to a mystery restaurant for a mystery dinner. See you when I’m thirty-four.

You’re officially older than Jesus now. Congratulations!

Hope the mystery dinner was lovely, and I raised a glass in your direction tonight. Cheers!
