Happy Halloween
I am no longer a human blender. Just so you know.
A quick entry, to say happy halloween - one of my favourite holidays. We had loads of kids around earlier. They didn't seem aware that tradition requires them to sing a song or tell a joke. I stared at them until they complied, often with huge, squirming embarrassment as whatever cool they thought they had fell apart. There are some adult pleasures from halloween too.
In celebration of the season, the delightful Fran Friel is running a competition of the very easiest sort, and the prizes include copies of Tattered Souls, which of course contains my novelette 'Other People. Go on, throw your hat into the ring here... let me know if you win.

Your door visitors sound like Americans. All they do is say "Trick or treat!" and get their candy. No talent needed.
Like father, like daughter...
And if they want candy at this house, they damn well do a turn
