Welcome:

Welcome to the site. I'm a scribbler of horror and other dark fictions, and my novels and stories have been published in the UK and the US for the last fifteen years. I currently live in India, having been in Scotland for over a decade. For most of that time I've been writing one thing or another. Hopefully some of it has entertained you, or soon will. Let me know.

Kudos:

"In a genre where some of the most respected voices can't seem to get past vampires and serial killers, Wright doles out startlingly original ideas like he's throwing stones. More importantly, he's knocking us upside the head with them and making us think in a very enjoyable way." - Louis Maistros, Chiaroscuro

Bouncy…

… but it’s too early to tell you why. It concerns the provisional acceptance of a story, in a book I’m over the moon to be on the list for. The ‘provisional’ bit is why I’m not spilling the beans just yet – while the editor has given an enthusiastic thumbs up, there are further people who need to give approval before it becomes a done deal.

Hopefully, it will all go swimmingly, and I’ll be able to tell you why I’m giddy as a kipper. Then, hopefully, you will be too. It’s not the sort of thing you would probably have expected to see me involved in, which makes it all the more exciting.

Actually, I’ve never seen a giddy kipper. Do kippers get giddy? And do they enjoy it?

Ah, it’s all become clear to me now…giddy kipper-wise. Congrats on the “provisional.”

And to you – thanks Fran.

Aha! You’ve written a new series of Mr. Men books?

Hope it all goes well chief :)

  4. Richard Wright Says:

Yep, don’t know why I didn’t think of it before. You’re going to particularly enjoy Mr Sociopathic and Little Miss Bunny Boiler, I think…

I was thinking a new edition of “Where’s Waldo” myself. Sorry I fell off the face of the Earth, but I’m working my way back and I’m thrilled to see that you’re doing so well! Looks like I have a fair bit of reading to catch up on. :o )

    Oh, so close…

Good to see you round these parts again. Don’t worry, I get the same way when there are big changes in my life…
