Overseas travel for a book launch is still a little beyond my reach - I couldn't even get to the London Choices launch in December! Fantasycon though - I've rejoined (my membership lapsed in 2000!) the BFS, and in a couple of weeks I'll buy my ticket and book the hotel. After years (and years, and years) of not getting to these things, and only knowing writers and editors through the InterWeb, it's both a daunting and exhilirating prospect! Heh – I wish. Still, I'll hopefully be at FantasyCon this year, so might finally get to buy you a drink... As for the laptop - very happy with the purchase indeed. It makes such a difference, being portable. One of the problems with the PC being in the bedroom was that if Kirsty went to bed, my writing necessarily stopped. Of course, the counter-danger now is that I have to remember to go to bed at all... Oh me too – wish I could have been there.
