Hi Elizabeth. There are no short cuts or contacts that can help, I'm afraid. Write stories, edit them mercilessly, and find a good proofreader (preferably somebody who'll be honest, rather than family, who will lie to make you happy).

Digest everything at http://www.ralan.com/wrthelp.htm, particularly the bits on manuscript format - you'd be amazed how many stories are rejected on these points alone.

Submit your stories to markets at http://www.ralan.com (ONLY when your story matches what the editors say they're looking for, or you're wasting everyone's time), get rejected over and again, and eventually, if your stories are good, you'll sell something. Repeat, ad infinitum. Your list of contacts will grow, but you have to earn them.

Good luck!

Hello. My name is Elizabeth. I actually ran across your site by accident, but I was imediately intrigued by it. I am a college student living in Georgia. I also write horror and thriller stories. I have had no luck in finding an editor or a publisher yet. I sincerly hope that perhaps you can help me by telling me who I can get in contact with to help me or just which road i can take to put me on the right path. Thank you.

Review - "A terrific, genuinely creepy novella... Lomax's first-person narration builds perfectly to capture both Lomax's terror and his pity as he doggedly uncovers the truth, rendering The Flesh Remembers worthwhile for any horror fan."

Review - "When a tale has the momentum that this one does, you don't want anything pulling you out of the story. If you're a fan of good, old fashioned, creepy Lovecraftian horror (with just a tad of X-Files style sci-fi) you can't go wrong with The Flesh Remembers."

Publisher's Synopsis - When hack reporter Dexter Lomax investigates a series of mysterious craters forming across Northeast England, he fully expects to turn somebody's well-planned hoax into international news for the weak-minded.

What he doesn't expect is for suicidal beggars to thrust weirdly compelling video tapes into his hands, to be targeted by two opposing groups with deadly agendas, or to be in the centre of a drama that begins with the discovery of dozens of skinned corpses on the Town Moor.

Drawn on by his lethal curiosity, Dex is forced to journey further than even he had imagined possible, in pursuit of a story he might never dare write...
